BBJP Supports Six Month Old Heart Patient Avroneel

Ukhiya, Cox’s Bazar: The Bangladesh Bouddha Juba Parishad (BBJP), Ukhiya branch, has extended financial assistance to the family of six-month-old Avroneel Barua, who is undergoing treatment for complex heart complications at a hospital in Bengaluru, India.

Avroneel Barua, son of Suman Barua, is a resident of West Ratna village in Ratnapalong Union of Ukhiya, Cox’s Bazar. The infant has been suffering from various heart-related complications since birth and is currently receiving treatment at the Narayana Health hospital in Bengaluru.

In response to the family’s difficult circumstances, BBJP, Ukhiya, launched a humanitarian initiative to mobilize support from local residents and well-wishers for the child’s treatment.

BBJP Supports Six Month Old Heart Patient Avroneel

On Friday, September 11, 2026, the organization formally handed over the funds collected through the initiative to Avroneel’s family. A total of BDT 110,080 was presented to his grandmother, Paruna Barua.

The assistance handover ceremony was attended by BBJP Ukhiya Adviser Rajendra Barua; President and journalist Palash Barua; General Secretary Madhu Barua; Joint Organizing Secretary Anik Barua Jishu; Joint Social Welfare Secretary Suresh Barua; Joint Information and Technology Secretary Shubhra Barua Babu; executive members Kakon Barua and Utsab Barua, among others.

Speaking at the event, Palash Barua, President of BBJP Ukhiya, expressed gratitude to the organization’s national committee, Chattogram and Sylhet regional leadership, as well as individuals from Bangladesh and abroad who contributed to the humanitarian initiative.

“On behalf of BBJP Ukhiya, I sincerely thank everyone who has extended their support for Avroneel’s treatment. Their generosity has demonstrated the strength of our collective social responsibility,” he said.

He added that the initiative was not merely a financial contribution but also an expression of solidarity and compassion toward a child facing a serious health crisis.

At the conclusion of the programme, those present offered prayers and shared merit for Avroneel’s speedy recovery and long life. They also extended their wishes for the happiness, peace and well-being of all living beings.
