Bangladesh Bouddha Juba Parishad – Ukhia Exchange Meeting was held with the participation of advisers and executive committee members of the Bangladesh Bouddha Juba Parishad (BBJP), Ukhia Upazila branch. Several important decisions were taken at the meeting aimed at strengthening and accelerating the organization’s activities through creative initiatives.
The meeting was held on Friday, 22 May 2026, at 3:00 PM at the Alhaj Hakim Ali Chowdhury KG School hallroom in Court Bazar. The event was chaired by journalist Polash Barua, president of the Bangladesh Bouddha Joba Parishad, Ukhia Upazila branch, and moderated by secretary Modhu Barua. It marked the first exchange meeting between the advisory council and the executive committee.
Important Decisions Taken at the Meeting
Among the advisers present were retired headmaster Tushar Barua, college teacher Plabon Barua, headmaster Ratnasen Barua, lecturer Ranjit Barua, teacher Milon Kumar Barua, Arun Kumar Barua, and Rajendra Lal Barua, who delivered important speeches and guidance.

Executive committee members who spoke at the meeting included organizational secretary Dipon Barua, social welfare secretary Sipon Barua, assistant social welfare secretary Suresh Barua, technology affairs secretary Shimul Barua Unone, assistant technology affairs secretary Shuvro Barua Babu, assistant sports secretary Sohel Barua, child and youth affairs secretary Dalim Barua, student affairs secretary Saju Barua, and Nishan Barua, among others.
During the meeting, reports and financial statements of the recently held annual general meeting, community feast, drawing competition, poetry contest, and cultural competition were presented. The committee also adopted several important decisions, including organizing a Dharma discussion and quiz program marking the 2570 Buddha Era, as well as a tree plantation campaign.
At the end of the meeting, the advisory council encouraged the executive committee to continue dynamic organizational activities through creative and welfare-oriented programs.
