Buddhist-Christian studies conference 2026: Registration Opens in Hamburg

HAMBURG, GERMANY — Buddhist-Christian studies conference 2026: The European Network of Buddhist Christian Studies (ENBCS) has officially announced its upcoming international event, the Buddhist-Christian studies conference 2026, scheduled to take place from July 2 to July 6, 2026. Hosted at the St. Ansgarhaus in Hamburg, Germany, this landmark event is organized in collaboration with the University of Hamburg’s “Academy of World Religions” and the “Academy for International Ecumenism.” The sessions will run daily from 11:45 PM to 2:00 PM.

Exploring the Dimensions of the Mind

Following the success of the 2024 dialogue which focused on “The Body,” the 2026 conference shifts its focus to a deeper exploration of “The Mind” from both Buddhist and Christian perspectives. Renowned scholars from across the globe will gather to analyze traditional religious concepts of the mind, its transformation, its relationship with ultimate reality, and its role in life after death. These age-old theological and philosophical perspectives will be discussed and evaluated against the backdrop of modern neuroscience.
